As for me, after my second-intermission effort, I decided to pass my ongoing thoughts in conversation with walkinvisible through the comment string. To summarize: Everything about that was embarrassing, including the bush league shit at the end of the game. They looked like a bunch of petulant children who couldn’t take the fact they were wildly outplayed. Can’t wait to hear the explanation for this entire debacle.

  3. can’t do tomorrow, i’m expected to attend a wrap party for my job. i may be able to skip out early (and will if there’s no tv there). should we bother talking about tuesday ? :)

    maybe it’s a cop-out but every questionable action by anyone in a flaming C can be attributed to having a hack coach. that includes noodles going off the deep end after 30 seconds, or the continual post-whistle scrums in the last 5 minutes. oh, and the inability to score, the plethora of unnecessary penalties, the questionable defense etc. etc. etc.

    this paragraph is so good, i’m reposting it.

    There’s a large element of truth to that. I think so, and so does the NHL, which is why coaches are now suspended/fined when players instigate fights in the final five minutes.

    That said, there’s a way to do things on the ice, and that didn’t look like the right way to me.
